he
creation of a portrait is an important decision, and one that
should be enjoyable and exciting. And while it does
take some planning, the portrait can be created with little
effort on your part.
Our
first step toward the creation of your portrait is to meet
and plan the size, pose and other details. Then, a number
of photographs may be taken in different outfits and settings,
after which we will review the photographs and discuss
the composition.
Since
I usually have several paintings in progress, and drying
time is necessary, it takes from eight to 12 weeks to
complete a portrait, depending on its size and the number
of subjects. Once finished, I will deliver the framed
painting for the official unveiling. We will discuss
frame options during the final stages of the portrait.
When creating a portrait
in oil, I use the very finest Belgium linen and highest
quality paints available.

There
is a charge of 50% of the initial price for each additional
figure on canvas. Payment of one-half the total amount is
due at the signing of the
agreement. The balance is due at the completion of the painting.
I would be happy
to discuss creating special backgrounds, such as floral
arrangements, columns and wall hangings, or including a
beloved pet or a photo of a loved one (painting within a
painting).
I look forward to
meeting with you.
Thank you for
considering my work. |
