Chloe is the adorable daughter of a dear friend, and I painted this portrait as a study. As I was painting Chloe I realized that something about her
expression and coloring reminded me of Rubens' Head of a Child.  I find it interesting that the portrait is thought to be Rubens' daughter, Clara. This is my humble attempt at creating a portrait in that spirit and style.
