This portrait was based on a none-too perfect snapshot my wife kept for years on her desk of her mother and our daughter fishing. Despite many flaws - folded; faded; poor color resolution - this picture was one of my wife's most prized possessions. I commissioned Jean-Marie to create a portrait, with no other decent reference pictures of my mother-in-law to guide her. Jean-Marie rose to the challenge correcting all the picture's flaws, while still capturing and enhancing the beauty of her subjects and the mood masterfully. The finished portrait enjoys a prominent place in our home, and is an heirloom that will be handed down to be enjoyed by future generations of our family. Jean-Marie exceeded my highest expectations.
